Chosen packaging

After an intensive research, we decided that our packaging will be directed to the pastry sector in supermarkets. You should be thinking what's the reason behind that decision. Well, as we all can see, the pastry sector is one of the sectors that uses more plastic for packaging. We were sick of seeing all sectors becoming more sustainable, replacing plastic with other materials, when the pastry sector continued to be insustainable. So, we decided to do something about this issue. We created two packages made with bamboo and PLA, a bioplastic. We opted for bamboo for the base of our packages because it is a sustainable material that is firm and robust in order to offer security to the packages, and it's easy to find, guaranteeing this way the eventual large-scale production of it. For a matter of fact, the choice of PLA bioplastic for the lid of our packages is justified with the fact that we need continuously to offer the greatest sustainability combined with robustness in our products. However, we also took into consideration that the buyer needs to see the product before he takes the decision of purchasing it or not, and that´s why PLA is the perfect material of our lid, because of its transparency.
In addiction, as you can see the image on the top is for our package for cakes, and the image on the bottom is for the packaging of cookies and croissants.
